About Us

In the early 2000's my Dad began to experience dizziness and Parkinson like symptoms.  After years of testing and investigations with no diagnosis, he decided to medically retire in 2008.  To this day the cause is still unknown, however from time to time he'll experiences swelling of the blood vessels within his brain for which the only treatment is a heavy dose of steroid. 

Following his decision to retire, my mom asked me to help them optimize their budget, refinance their mortgage and help them secure insurance.  I had some experience in this world, but I was working in a totally unrelated field.

As I worked with my parents through this process my Mom asked me one day, "Kevin, why don't you do this for other people?"  

My answer was simple. "It's 2008, I have a secure job and there is a recession raging.  I didn't think it's a good time to jump ship."

She accepted my answer and we moved on with creating a simple budget for them to follow.  However, securing insurance for my dad was a different story.  We quickly learned that you need to secure insurance when your healthy, because once you have a pre-existing condition most insurance companies won't touch you with 33-1/2 foot pole.

Being determined and unexpectedly being laid off from that "secure" job in 2009, I set out on a new mission.  I vowed not to quit until I secured insurance coverage for my Dad. 

Thus Woolley & Woolley Insurance Group was born.
